Ground Breaking Workshop on Fish and Seafood Testing

Teams from Lincoln University’s National Centre for Food Manufacturing (NCFM) and Belgium Headquartered Eurofins Limited who are represented in Grimsby had two days of discussions about collaboration on future testing initiatives and meetings with #MadeGreatInGrimsby based seafood and fish processors.
Topics discussed with industry were around training needs, data gathering, authenticity, food safety and environment. Mark Carnaghan, Managing Director of Eurofins UK & Ireland commented “The Grimsby Seafood cluster are an important part of our business in Grimsby and it’s important that we have the proper collaborations in place to support the businesses. NCFM are a best in class provider of services to the agri-food sector and it’s an ambition for both of us to replicate that for the Grimsby seafood cluster”
NCFM and Eurofins will now work collaboratively on their findings following the consultation and work closely with the board of Seafood Grimsby & Humber managed by Simon Dwyer of Seafox Management Consultants Ltd.
